Description

How do engineers create prosthetics or bring movie robots to life? In this hands-on workshop, students will explore those same ideas by designing and building their own version of a robotic hand. Using the Hummingbird Robotics Kit and micro:bit, they’ll learn block coding, experiment with motors, sensors, and lights, and quickly prototype with everyday materials like cardboard, straws, and string. Along the way, students will practice problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork while seeing how robotics connects to real-world applications in prosthetics, animatronics, and automation.
